INDEX FOR WORKING MUSIK is a London-based group, formed from previous members of TOY and The Proper Ornaments. Their 2023 self-recorded and self-produced debut ‘Dragging The Needlework for the Kids at Uphole’, released by Tough Love Records, received unanimous praise from international press. Mojo championing the group’s versed lean towards angular guitar-led work – ‘INDEX often aurally conjure the clanging and droning of early-’90s alt-guitar legends Pavements and and My Bloody Valentine, sometimes topped with doubly disorienting loops’
INDEX FOR WORKING MUSIK have spent 2023 & 2024 delivering their ever-evolving live show to lulled and mesmerised audiences opening for legacy USA groups Allah-Las, The Make-Up and fellow roster outfit Cindy as well as sets at Mutations Festival and club shows across the country.
